Here's my first entry for Going Gonzo: the 24-episode snooze-fest hell-bent on dragging its feet along such a shallow, retarded, and generic love story between two forgettable characters, while the super-powered ninja run, gun, jump, and climb so hard they die in the very next breath, and fill the air with the most sanitized, predictable, and stiff dialogue ever known to man.

Welcome to Basilisk, *yawn*...oh, sorry, need 40 winks to write this shit! XP

One other thing: I couldn't stop talking about/referencing Ninja Scroll...I mean, Jiminy Mother of Fuck! The legendary 1993 anime movie handled the source material better than this needlessly lengthy drab-fest ever could (hooray for repetition D:), and it made me appreciate Ninja Scroll more after sitting through this series! Ahem, moving on...

You know, this series disappointed me. I expected much more with a series revolving around super-powered ninja fighting one another amid an intense, isolated, and convoluted conflict, but after all, this is the same studio formed of creators who think upskirt panty shots are avant-garde (i.e. Kaze no Stigma, Rosario+Vampire, etc), and that being unsubtle about idealistic bullcrap, like unity, harmony, and one of Vash the Stampede's favorite catch phrases makes them (and the viewers) sound smart and cultured.

A pair of broken knuckles radiate with more wit and intelligence than watching Basilisk...'nuff said.

Edit: In the review, I mispronounced Hotarubi's name wrong (I said 'Hoturabi'). Yes, I make mistakes too.

This seems like a very curious installment. They have a love story, huge battles, and a family rivalry, but managed to be very boring. Well, I look forward to you ripping Gonzo apart more. Good video
