I know I've already said this but I like the Nolan films. I wouldn't call myself a Nolanite per se, but as stand-alone films, I think they work. I think it's because of my limited knowledge of comics, but when I see something like this, I ask "Is this a good, entertaining movie" before I ask "Is this faithful to the source material". But at the same time, it's good to have the perspective you guys have.

As someone who enjoys comic books, but who hasn't kept up with them in a long time, I like the approach of the movie simply being "inspired by" a comic book instead of filming a faithful comic book adaptation. It gives the screenwriters a freer hand to do what they want with the characters and to create their own universe, which Nolan does brilliantly. It also helps for those of us who aren't very well-versed in the series' complex continuity. (I was at first baffled to see Dick Grayson as Batman in THE BLACK MIRROR, for instance!)
Why yes, I'm an unashamed Nolanite.
