Hi James. Excellent video, my friend. I really like what you had to say about the evolution of all art forms and how video games fits into this lexicon of human expression. There's no doubt in my mind that video games are art after watching Lotus Prince play Alice: The Return of Madness, and Asura's Wrath. The stories are riveting and deep, the characters are interesting and alive and the artistry is gorgeous.

I had to chuckle a bit about your early days being the Nintendo.....As you described the birth of video games....I was there at the beginning. I remember Arcades back when it was pinball machines and air hockey.....then came Pong, and Sea Wolf.....followed by Space Invaders, Asteroids, Missile Command......Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. Mario Brothers, Dragon's Lair, etc. My home system was the Atari 2600 LOL! 8-bit games with 2 or 3 colors and lousy sounds-and they were fun as hell to play :D When I was growing out of video games, the Colecovision, Intellevision and the very first Nintendo was just coming around. Thanks for bringing up these memories, my friend. Great video. Peace.

I enjoy video games as well and am currently working my way through Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. It is the one franchise I have followed faithfully for years and I think the changes it say a lot about video games. Good video

You're a (Big Black Hat) man of good taste. The Zelda series has always remained a solid franchise in my opinion. It keeps many of the core concepts throughout the games, yet introduces new mechanics and themes to keep them fresh. Not to mention the mechanics from the series have inspired other great games (Okami, Beyond Good & Evil, ect.). Hell, Majora's Mask is my second favorite game of all time because of how impressed I was with the way the developers really pushed the envelope, taking the series away from its standard elements and creating an eerie, yet moving atmosphere. It was a truly incredible experience.

Skyward Sword is also a very good entry in the franchise - the motion controls are quite responsive, and I love all the new tricks put in like the timeshift stones and item crafting. I definitely rank it in my top 5 zelda games, probably in the #3 spot (above Wind Waker and below Twilight Princess).

Great video James.
I just beat Max Payne 3 the other day & besides being easily the best shooter of the year. It was the first game I have seen to truly capture the feel & rhythm of a Tony Scoot film (Man On Fire).
