There are no view counts for blogs. Now I'm not one to want to get the highest view counts, I use them to judge what I post and don't post on the site.

Such as my vlogs end up getting more views over all and so I don't mind slowing down getting my review series out.

Now if people commented on my blog posts it wouldn't be so much of a problem. As comments are a much better form of feedback.

I'd like it if there was some way to get view counts from blog posts even if I had to put it manually on each of my blog posts.

Right now it looks like nearly all my blog posts (especially my written series that actually take time and effort to write) are ignored. This has made me unintentionally bitter to my fellow blog writers who actually get comments (and so it's clear they're not ignored) which makes me avoid the blog section except when I post.

Can someone please solve this problem?

So James can see the view counts of everything on this site? I'll try that :)

And being hurt that you're not viewed as much isn't a good excuse not to have a view count.

you be surprise on how many people get hurt when only ten peopel look at their blogs.  in all i whould love to see the viee cont put in place and being it  smille community it will work better for us better then a site that has over a thounsan people in it. in all yes i  whould love to see a viewcount to see what peopel are in to vs the topic people do not care much of.

Actually.  View counts isn't an option at Webs.com.  We looked into it and it can't be done here.  I'm sorry, but it's not us.  I'd love to see a blog view counts, as well as 5-star ratings....however, until we upgrade to a better system(and we're looking into that, as well...) we're not going to get it, my friends.  Peace.

Yeah...I already told you Jashykins, it's simply not an option. I wish it were, I would add it if it was, but it isn't.

P.S. I think by forums it was meant that you should go to the webs.com forums, and post it as an idea, hell, I'll even support the post, or post it myself for that matter. All in favor?

You gotta be careful with view counts. It's too easy to manipulate the system. For example if it counts your own views you'll end up looking like there are more people reading it then there actually are.

And that's the nature of blogging. I've had a few blogs that haven't got any comments, but that could solely be because no one had anything to add because I was talking about something so obscure only I understood it (or my blog was, you know, rubbish). You just have to accept some things and write because you want too, not because you want people to comment on your work.

I gotta agree with Ratin8tor. It shouldn't be about views or getting the most comments with feedback. I used to think that way, but I know I shouldn't. If someone doesn't read something of yours, they're just not interested. Some blogs of mine don't get that much attention, but I don't care.

It shouldn't matter if your getting feedback or not, it's about doing what you want, even if it doesn't get all the attention. Its all about doing what you like.

I'm starting to notice more talk of this too... And I don't like it.

Or they did read it and have nothing to add. A read plently of blogs on this site, but all I'd be saying in the comments is something like 'Yes, that is a blog about something that exists'. And ask yourself, is that really all that helpful? I save my comments for constructive feedback/critism/debate, so while many people may read your blog, can you blame someone for not being inclined to write 'This is indeed a blog that exists'.

Or write controversial blogs like 'Why Batman and Robin isn't that bad.' That's still my blog with the most comments, although it helped that I was shilling for comments by answering all of them and dragging out discussions. But if you really want comments, say something highly controversial and you're gaurnteed to get people reading.

Sure people may absoultely hate your guts and violently disagree with everything you say, but they'll read it none the less :P

I don't think thats the right thing to do. You shouldn't WANT comments. You should be doing what you want and like. THAT works for you and and me, Ratin8tor. But no matter how hard you work on something, someones just not going to be interested. And you shouldn't feel bitter about those things because it happens to everyone
