Member Posts: 191 | To me M. Night Shamalan is overrated. I never really cared too much for his work, except for Sixth Sense. His direction in having plot twists in almost every movie is very redundant.

The Last Airbender didn't have a plot twist. Well, except that it was shit, but I saw that coming as soon as his name was attached to it.

True. I'm really not looking forward to reviewing this awful movie for the Nickelodeon tribute.

Ang Lee. Everyone made it seem like he invented flying Asian people back in the day. I've hated just about everyone of his movies, but he's always lauded for his drawn out melodramas. That long take wasn't meant to invoke reflection! He's padding his fucking runtime!

I will probably be branded a hater, but to me, no one is more overrated than Francis Ford Coppola. His pacing is never quite right. He makes great scenes but can never tie them together interestingly. His most acclaimed movies are always carried by the actors' performances-- Marlon Brando in The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, De Niro and Pacino in Godfather II... When the actors are not brilliant, nobody seems to like the movie that much. Case in point: Godfather III.
