No worries everyone, this isn't a huge deal. In talking to Creepy he said, "Look, I can get it out by July 16 but I'll have to cut some corners." I said I'd rather have the best possible play and push the release date back. So instead of July 16 the plays will be released July 23. I'm sure everyone would rather we get it right than just toss a half finished product out there.

By the way, its never too early to start lining up the next Podcast Plays. Several people have already expressed interest. Here's how we're going to handle this: First come first serve. Anyone who wants to put on a play, here's what we need you to do:

1. Produce your play. You're in charge of writing, casting, finding an editor (or doing it yourself). Music and everything is up to you.

2. When two plays are done, they will be put together as a double feature, complete with an intermission, commercials for various users (if you have a product you'd like to plug or a project you'd like to tell us about), and intros that we'll provide.

That's it. Patricia and I are kicking things off, but I want to keep this going. I've heard some great ideas so far, and I'd love to hear many more.

Pushing back the release is great if it improves things.  I may take a crack at this some day, but I keep getting caught up with my personal projects and I already write the Dashing Dandy Dapper Dan Daring show for my friends.  I look forward to hear the plays.

Oh can't you push it back to july 27th. Then I have a handy countdown towards my birthday :P

The wait will be worth it, trust me. We're putting in the finishing touches and it will be great when it's done.

You can't rush great art. I don't mind the delay; in fact, this gets me even more hyped about the show. Take your time, guys.

*makes a note to wish Ratin8tor a happy birthday*

If the quality goes up, that's what matters most,, good luck to everyone who's been involved in the project.

I wanted to let everyone know I've built quite a catalogue of sound FX for the podcast plays. When the time comes to do yours, I'll hook you up.

Random question: What if we're only interested in writing (or directing). I wouldn't mind writing a play, but I don't have the energy required to actually cast, direct and edit the thing :P

Just curious if people would ever want to specialize in just one section. Like if someone would want to become the 'offical director' or 'offical casting director' for lazy people like me :P

Other random question: how long are the plays anywho?

That's exactly what's going on right now, I don't beleive the person who wrote it edited it as well...and I think it would be up to you as far as everything else goes, but you would be at a bit of the mercy of the director if you didn't direct it.

I have absolutely no idea how long they will be.

I only wrote my play. I did cast it as well, but That Long-Haired Creepy Guy is our editor. He won't be the editor every time, you'll have to find someone to work with, but that's part of the fun :D

As for how long they are...however long they go. Mine is 30 minutes, Patricia's is 50.

Hopefully the extra 20 minutes will pick up the spirits from James' drama. A few giggles is what I'm hoping for. :)
