Manic Expression

I just saw Newsies for the first time on Friday and I have to say, it's an awesome film. I'm working on my review of it right now. I wanted to post this in the review section but it appeared to be locked. No, matter. I know that this film was a bomb when it was released but it's a good film and I can understand the cult following that it has.

I'll have to check out the film. Incidentally, I just learned the original name for Mickey mouse, and it thouroughly amazed me.

It's really good and yeah, it is pretty funny what Mickey's original name was going to be and how that ended becoming the name for one of his enmines.

Not just that, but that walt Disney, THE Walt Disney, almost went forward with that, I think Our beloved father of animation had a bit of a brain-fart that day.

I don't know. Y'see I think the name could've worked but I'm glad he went with Mickey instead but let's try to get this thread back on topic and be about Newsies.   Apparently, Christian Bale hates this film and it's one of the few things that he regrets doing. Now granted his singing isn't  anything to write home about but he does have perhaps my favortie song in the film with Santa Fe. 

The cast, crew and composers all sound very interesting, and I will definitely check it out when I get the chance.

It's rather good, Christan Bale is the lead, the music was done by Alan Menken and it was the directorial debut of Kenny Ortega.  It's strange but this film has seen a bit of resurgence lately due in part to Disney adpating it to stage for Broadway and I really want to see the stage production because if the movie is any indication,  this story was meant for stage and it can only be better there.
