Hello Expressionists, Ratin8tor here to give the Outstanding Content of the Week.
Another week down, another week full of brilliant videos and blogs. No need for over-complicated introductions, scroll down and read the runner-ups and winners. Onto the videos:
Outstanding Videos of the Week
In Fifth Place: Yippiekiyayfilms takes a look at the latest time-travelling science-fiction noir film Looper: http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/videos/videos/show/17149669-looper-review
In Fourth Place: Madhog's Guilty Pleasure is, in his words, “In his 50th video: Madhog reviews the pony-fied version of Stanley Kubrick's classic.” http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/videos/videos/show/17160828-madhog-s-guilty-pleasures-2012-a-pony-odyssey-
In Third Place: ParadiseandFaries brings us another episode of Fanservice Fiesta, showcasing loli vampires in Dance in the Vampire Bund: http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/videos/videos/show/17151270-fanservice-fiesta-dance-in-the-vampire-bund
In Second Place: E-Dog Reviews reviews Beyond Good and Evil HD to see whether it's worth buying in HD: http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/videos/show/17143340-e-dog-reviews-boyond-good-and-evil-hd
And the winner, of Outstanding Video of the week, is...
You know what shocks me. That according to the video description down at the bottom of the video, there have been three Kung-Fu Panda clones. And the other two can't have been nearly as bad as the one that was reviewed, a film so god awful that it barely deserves to be named. So instead watch Whyboy's review of the film in his Cartoon Corner series to see if it's really as bad as I've made it be (the movie, not Cartoon Corner): http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/videos/videos/show/17149484-cartoon-corner-chop-kick-panda-review

So congratulations Whyboy. Now, onto the blogs:
Outstanding Blogs of the Week
In Seventh Place: We have yet another tie for seventh place. First up is richb as he lists the five things he dislikes in the otherwise brilliant Superman II: http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/blog/show/19185837-five-things-i-hated-about-superman-ii-
Meanwhile Ratin8tor takes a look at post-modernism and explains how that God is not dead, but has instead been saved by none other than Daffy Duck: http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/blog/show/19150366-in-too-deep-did-daffy-duck-save-god-
In Sixth Place: Dark Jak takes a look at country musician George Straits and the top 9 songs he has made: http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/blog/show/19178117-top-9-george-strait-songs
In Fifth Place: Newcomer Ryan McCarthy reviews the 2D side-scroller Rayman Origins to see if it's worth buying: http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/blog/entries/show/19203420-video-game-reviews-rayman-origins-xbox-360-
In Fourth Place: SomeJerkFromBoston takes a look at This Island Earth (no, not the awful movie, but just mindbogglingly amazing the Earth is): http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/blog/show/19223069-this-island-earth
In Third Place: Jason on the House takes a look at the fantasy series Redwall and explains it to all those new to the books: http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/blog/show/19180090-redwall-month-redwall
In Second Place: Growing old sucks as Les once again talks us through the “joys” (there are not qutation marks big enough to exhibit the amount of sarcasm) of getting a colonoscopy: http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/blog/show/19188355-ground-zero-the-moment-i-d-dreaded-on-the-countdown-to-colonoscopy-by-les-
And the winner, of Outstanding Blog of the Week, is...
Nostalgia is a funny thing, and it isn't as good as it use to be. But week after week pbmiranda has been looking at classic 90s Nickelodeon television, the good and the bad. Thus leading to the ultimate conundrum: Was it really that good, or do we look back too fondly to really notice its faults? Has nostalgia blinded us, or does it still hold up today? Well read the blog and find out: http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/blog/show/19226918-90-s-nickelodeon-classic-or-overrated-

And there you have it. This weeks picks for Outstanding Content of the Week. A toast to both Whyboy and pbmiranda. You can nominate your work here (http://manicexpression.webs.com/apps/forums/topics/show/8162538-6th-12th-october-nominate-your-work-for-outstanding-content-of-the-week-?page=last) and view out previous winners in the upcoming Platinum edition. Until then Expressionists: Express Yourself.
