Outstanding Blog of the Week

Last year the writer of the winning blog was doing a general paper on pop culture and theology. Suffice it to say he had fun in class drawing the most random of connections between the Bible and various parts of Geek culture. As such he attempted the ultimate challenge: Can the argument be made that Batman is Jesus (and the Joker is subsequently the Devil). The essay only got a C (since comic books aren't “printed resources” for some absurd reason), so it's a bit of karmatic justice that the winning blog is that exact same essay: In Too Deep: The Bat Messiah vs The Devil in Clown Make-Up (aka Why Batman Is Jesus and The Joker is Satan).
