In Too Deep My Little Pony Week: The Hogwarts Houses/Lantern Corps Of The Mane Six (& Spike).

Hello and welcome to In Too Deep, where this week I'm over-analysing My Little Pony.

Well I've done this sort of thing before, so there's very little in the way of introduction. Suffice it to say that if the Mane Six (& Spike) went to Hogwarts, or were invited into the DC Lantern Corps. So without further ado, lets work it out.

Twilight Sparkle: To start with the lead character, the Hogwarts House she's clearly in is Ravenclaw. I mean the whole point of the pilot was to stop her from being a bookworm and actually make friends. So she'd fit in well there. However she also has a bit of a temper to her, which has lead to her undoing at times. Hence why if she was pushed far enough she'd easily join the Red Lantern Corps of rage. She's shown to get fiery with rage many a time, so thinking of her joining the red lantern corps wouldn't be too much of a shock.

Spike: Twilight Sparkle's right-hand dragon, it is clear that if he was at Hogwarts he'd be a Hufflepuff since he works so hard to keep Twilight's library clean and tidy. Never gets any thanks neither, despite all his hard work. But if the Lantern corps came knocking it's clear he'd be in the Orange Lantern Corps due to how easy he is to be tempted by greed. Hell they even made an episode out of it. It's part of growing up when you're a dragon, where you start hoarding as much as you can.

Applejack: Works on the Apple Farm, she spends all of her days working hard. Thus is it any surprise that she'd end up in Hufflepuff. If nothing else she fills out the one character trait Hufflepuff's have, which is that they're hard working. However when it comes to the Lantern Corps the only one she'll ever join is the Green Lantern Corps. Considering what she does on a daily basis and how much willpower she must have to do it, is it really any surprise?

Pinkie Pie: Now this may come as a bit of a shock, but she is clearly in Slytherin. Why? Because she is cunning enough to be able to manipulate the laws of nature and get them to do her bidding. That and her biggest ambition is to befriend everypony, and will not take no for an answer. But it's because of the fact that she can so easily break trivial things like physics and other such laws of the universe that puts her in the Yellow Lantern Corps. I don't know about anyone else, but she certainly feels me with fear. If she snapped and became evil, her powers would certainly make her formidable. If you have any doubt read Cupcakes.

(WARNING: READING CUPCAKES WILL SCAR YOU FOR LIFE AND MAKE YOU WARY OF YEAST-BASED DESSERTS FROM ANTHROPOMORPHIC PONIES. DO NOT WATCH IT UNLESS YOU LIKE READING DARK AND TORTUE FAN FICTION).

Rarity: the fashionista of the group, she has the ambition to get into the higher class. Thus is it any surprise that she would end up in Slytherin, home of the ambitious. However she also has the Element of Generosity, meaning that she is incredibly compassionate. Thus she would fit into the Indigo Lantern Corps without any difficultly at all.

Fluttershy: While she may seem shy and meek, Neville Longbottom was the same. And as you'll remember, Neville Longbottom was the Boy That Wasn't The Chose One But If He Was He'd Have Found The Horocruxes In A Few Weeks At Most. A memetic badass if you will. So given the chance Fluttershy would easily excel in Gryffindor. Plus since she has the Element of Kindness, she has a love for all life. As such, this love would be right at home with the Violet Lantern Corps, otherwise known as the Star Sapphires. She would do well in it too.

Rainbow Dash: Brash, loud and boastful, she also has the Element of Loyalty. Brave and loyal, she is the perfect example of a Gryffindor. She'd probably end up befriending Harry Potter to boot. However when it comes to the Lantern Corps her colour gives it away. She never loses Hope, making her a perfect for the Blue Lantern Corps. Even when she doubts herself she still believes in the best, allowing her to pull of the Sonic Rainboom.

So there you have it. My views on which ponies would go where. If anyone wants to make a fan picture of the pony corps, go right ahead. If you disagree with anything, or have anything to add, feel free to leave a comment. Till next time.

I know nothing about Harry Potter or any Lantern Corps other than green, red, or yellow, so I'll just take your word for it. Also, k second what you said about "Cupcakes," but I admit that "Rainbow Factory" was worse on my psyche even though I kinda liked it. Keep up the good work.
