Hello and welcome to In Too Deep, where I over-analyse a certain section of pop culture.

Well with Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes coming out this week, it's about time we start thinking about the future. Sure there's Lego Lord of the Rings, but there's not just that. Ever since Lego Star Wars came out in 2005 the Telltale games have been both fun and entertaining. So what should the Telltale games do next? What are the top six franchises that need their own Lego games?

6)Fullmetal Alchemist: Okay this isn't exactly a kids show, but hear me out. Alchemists already spend most of their time creating and manipulating matter, so hard would it be to apply that same principle to the Lego world? The point of Lego is that you get to manipulate stuff and build whatever you want, so alchemy would fit right in. Plus it would be awesome to play a good Fullmetal Alchemist game. You just know they'd honour the spirit of the show. On top of that the Lego games are already pretty violent, so it'll help make the game seem more serious (since disassembling someone is only a flesh wound). While it doesn't have a wide audience it'd still be a fun game to play.

5)Chronicles of Narnia: Actually I'm kinda surprised that this one hasn't been made yet. I mean, it fits in well with what Lego games have done so far. They've done Harry Potter, they're doing Lord of the Rings. Seven books make a good duology of games. Plus it would be interesting for them to explore the world more and actually make the games in chronological order. Course some aspects would be difficult since there's a lack of fighting in the first book, but failing that I'm sure they'd come up with a good reason to give the kids weapons. If nothing else it'll be interesting to see the Chronicles of Narnia as interpreted by Lego mini-figures.

4)Star Trek: Who wouldn't want to play as Lego Kirk, or Lego Spock, or Lego Picard. Boldly going where no mini-figure has ever gone. Fighting against all sorts of intergalactic threats. You could base half in the original series, half in the next generation. You could even have a crossover between the two and make it the story fans always wanted to see. Not only do you have killer space combat but also the chance to explore new planets. Hell you could even make Deep Space Nine the hub. Overall I think this would be one franchise that would look interesting in Lego.

3)Avatar The Last Airbender: Lego owned the rights to this once upon a time and it'd be awesome if they actually made a game out of it. You got the four types: Earthbending, Airbending, Waterbending and Firebending. So right there you've got the four types of fighting you'd use. They've made things move using the Force and the magic in Harry Potter, so it wouldn't be too hard to rework it to do the four types of elements. Plus there are three seasons, meaning you could do three levels. Simple to do, plus it'll wash the taste of the M. Night Shamalyan movie out of our mouth. What's not to like about that?

2)My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic: You know, this would be quite easy to make. You already have the three types. The pegasuses who can fly, the unicorns that can do magic a la Harry Potter and the earth ponies that act like normal ponies. You have a whole raft of characters to put in. Who wouldn't want to play as Derpy Hooves? Plus it wouldn't be too hard to make 30 individual missions rather then adapting three full-length stories. Make it an open hub where you get to explore Ponyville and you have quite the fun game. I think this has the potential not only to be a big hit with the bronies but also make quite a fair bit when little girls buy it to (little girls watch My Little Pony, can you believe it?). Regardless this game would be awesome.

1)Marvel: I was originally got to put this at number six as a joke, but it turns out that Lego actually owns Marvel. They've released sets starring the Avengers, as well as one starring Wolverine, Magneto and... Deadpool? Seriously, Deadpool? Everyone's favourite fourth-wall breaking mercenary? Huh did not think Lego would actually do that. Anywho this game needs to be made, and it needs to be made yesterday. They've already proven they can take the Batman mythos and make it into Lego; and they've done the same again with the latest game (that I'm gonna assume is amazing based on past experience). Though in Spider-Man (which they did own the rights too at one point) and you have a kick-ass game on your hands. Imagine how many different characters they could get. Imagine what would happen if they went all out making the individual superpowers matter. Imagine fighting against Lego Doctor Doom, Lego Loki or, best of all, Lego Galatcus. At one point it was considered being made; and I say that it must.
