There’s lots of big news that is happen in the world of sports. Both the NBA and NHL playoff are in full swing. Mayweather wins unanimous decision over Cotto. And Brooklyn Nets had reveal there new logo which had gotten a mixes review from NBA fans. One of there who is not to happen with the new look is Columnist Phil Mushnick of the New York Post. And believe me this goes far beyond the logo. For the sport columnist has a big problem with Brooklyn Nets part owner Jay Z, and what he had mentions in the May 4th edition of the Post had got people up and arm as well as asking whether or not Jay Z is the right fit for the team.
Now I have to say up fort that I do not have a problem of Shawn Corey Carter aka Jay Z being part owner of the Nets. He has money and had played a big part in the team movie to the city of Brooklyn. I also had mention this in my Audio Topic he is only playing a minor role in the day to day operation. And so having him be in charge of the marketing department is fine with me. However not everyone feel the same way. For some had feel he will be more of a distraction to the team that want to be the toss of the town in New York as well them winning a championship. Some even stated that his gangers rapper reputation well sever as a bad example for younger fans and that what the Net do not needs if they want to be taken seriously. One of throws people was Mr. Mushnick written a column about it on May 4th. Some of the thing he had mentions most people agreed but all that was put to the side after what he had written nixes Phl Mushnick went on saying, “Why call it the Brooklyn Nets when it could be called the New York N----ers. The cheerleaders could be called the Brooklyn B---hes or Hoes. Can you see why people from all side are up in arm about what he had said?
Now Mushnick did issued an apology but not before he went on in blaming Jay Z for having him writing the column in the first place. Am sorry but what? That right he blames Jay Z for what he had wrote in the New York Post because he feel that Jay Z is not the right chose for the team and had stated that he use the N world all the time as well as calling women the B world in his music. And all this was spark by the Nets new black and white logo. Really after all these years of Jay Z being part owner of the team it took a new logo to force you to write this and in a way that’s angers not only the blacks community but the whole Brooklyn Net Organization?
This is a prime example of someone letting their feeling get in the way or simple bringing up a topic to by many black and white agreed with. It is another reason why I have a big problem with some of the new station as well as the news paper today, and instead of just reporting the new they want to make the news. Phil Mushnick could have a very interesting topic in which everyone from both sides could talk about but it was all lost by putting his own personal feel toward one man and in the end of the day that what that whole story was all about that one man. He wanted to point out how my family have never came heard of the n world Intel Jay Z had come along. A statement I myself is not buying. Like I said he had bring up some good point in the way blacks used the n world yet get upset when whites use the same world but as a long time writers he should know that there is a fine line in getting your point across and yes he had cross the line. And let be honest this was a personal attack on Jay Z, and, no one else. Which many people had ask true propose of the story. He brings up his pass as an excuse to say what he had say in his story which told me up fort that he was not sorry in what he said.
Now I want to be clear on one thing. I am not a fan of Jay Z. There is some things he has done that did not sit well with me. But I had great respect to his succeeds as an entertainer and as an entrepreneur and yes he had done a great deal by the hip hop industry. The fact Phil Mushnick had pointed out this as if Jay Z himself will turn the Nets into this ganger basketball team is unfair and uncalled for. As much as I do not like the N word being used as a team of endearment he is not the only one who it nor was the person who started it in the first place. And as for him being a part owner of the Net one must ask is really on to do anything inside that organization that could damage the Nets reputations?
Like I said I do not think this would have been a big deal if he not have put his personal feeling in his article in instead voce his concern on what Jay Z might bring if he is more involved with the day to day operation. Instead he took his dislike of a person to a level which could be hurtful to the New York Post in covering the team. And believe me with the situation going on with Rupert Murdoch and the Post already not so good reputation of not being real news paper this was on controversy the papers simply do not need. As for the Columnist being a racist I let you make the call on this one as well as what I had just mention on this blog but if you want to my feeling on this I will have to say no.
This was more about Jay Z being part owner of a team but you guy my feel different and if you agree or disagree, places tell my why. Express yourself.

It sounds like he just wanted to put down Jay Z more than make any valid points about the negative sides of his ownership. There are always negatives to celebrity owners, but I did not get one of them from your description. Well, he did apologize, but I can say nothing of its sincerity. Good article
