Greetings Manic Fans. Les here to begin the long process of catching up on the blogs I missed while my computer was broken and I was away to help a good friend move their entire house of furniture(but I digress....). I’m here today to present the Outstanding Blog of the Week for the week of 3/10 to 3/17. I hope to post OBotW for 3/17-3/24, 3/24-3/31 and 4/1-4/8 in short order as I get caught up, thanks for being patient with me.

Manic Expression posted the site’s first Awesome Blogger of the Month award and did an awesome tribute to Let’s Talk about Hockey’s own Shibby. 3/16/12
Decker Shado posted a revealing look into where he came from and how he got here today. 3/17/12

Writrzblok posted an exceptionally funny collaboration he did with Michael The Comic Nerd to review Catwoman(the Halle Berry film) 3/13/12
TheDVDGrouch posted a really professional review of a very interesting looking TV show that he’s gotten me very curious to see now. 3/13/12
Gregg posted a great review of a Japanese Manga adaptation film with a great Samurai object throwing side character to assist the review. 3/14/12
Lotus Prince posted the start of a new Let’s Play that promises all kinds of awesome gameplay in Silent Hill. 3/14/12
Jockerlee77 posted a Vlog review of Home Alone to see if it holds up as a Christmas Classic or not. 3/16/12
Timdiana posted a really good top 10 list of best film sequels. 3/17/12
It’s always difficult to select a winner with such talented posters, but I had to make a decision, so I’m giving this week’s Outstanding Blog of the Week to....
Decker Shado
Who posted a thoroughly researched and highly entertaining look at the biology of the Xenomorph from the Alien films. 12/14/12
Rarely have I ever seen a topic as completely researched and referenced in clips the way Decker did for this one. With his “best hair in internet reviewing” hair tied back, professor spectacles and an official looking clipboard, he analyzed the life cycle of the Alien and it’s various physical changes from film to film, host to host, etc. in a way that made complete logical sense and came off as authoritative and comprehensive as any college biology class. Well done, Decker!
And so, my friends, please join me in lifting our glasses to toast this week’s winner. “Here’s to you, Decker Shado.
