Hi, Manic Fans. Les here to bring the Outstanding Blog of the Week for the week of February 18-25.
.
Like last week, this was a hard one to pick. So many really great blogs were posted. As before, I feel the need to recognize some honorable mentions:
.
Posting a first blog, 10 year old, Eminator wrote an intriguing article about the more colorful metaphors in our language that makes adults cringe when spoken by children. She made some good points and asked some profound questions that got the community talking about it.
.
Posting a great collaboration, Lindgren and Moviefan12 wrote a great review of the Disney Wiki. They illustrated the helpful features and complemented each other’s review styles very well.
.
Posting a review of Phineas and Ferb’s movie: Across the 2nd dimension. Fusionater faced an old arch-enemy who invaded the article and an epic fight commenced with a cliffhanger at the end.
.
Starting a new review series, SOJA*SOJA*88 did her 4th episode on Beck and it was spellbinding!
.
With videos, we had:
.
Shibby’s great series, Let’s Talk About Hockey, he did a story on an event known as the “Hat trick” in hockey games that was fascinating as hell. If you don’t know what a “Hat trick” is, check this video out, my friends.
.
CBC Riff Theater posted a really good opinion/review on the film, Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance. Mostly ad-libbed, he kept focused on his review and gave really good commentary on the aspects of the film and defended his reasons behind liking it.
.
TheDVDGrouch posted several shows this week, but the one that really caught my attention, was his report on the love interests of Batman! Thoroughly researched and covered extremely well, it was really interesting to watch.
.
There were many other great blogs posted, but I can’t list them all, much as I’d like to. This week’s winner is.
.
It is a really profound and powerful statement on an alarming chain of events going on in the Tennessee legislature to attempt to censor historically important books of American Black History and alter the books taught in schools to eliminate Slavery and Segregation from American History being taught. Using a very good series of slides showing pictures of the books in question, he narrated the events and expressed his opinions with passion and resolute authority on the subject, encouraging a lot of comments in support of his views.
.
And so, my friends, please join me in raising our glasses to toast Jockerlee77. Congratulations on winning the Outstanding Blog of the Week at Manic Expression. May you continue to record your thoughts with your customary dignity and clever perceptions of the truth.
.
And thank you, Manic Fans for giving some of your time to support one of our members.
.
The Outstanding Blog of the week is selected every week from Saturday to Saturday, posted on Sunday mornings and considers text and video blogs. If you have one you’d like to recommend for this award, please let me know by sending me a message, my friends. Peace.
