Hello & welcome to the very first edition of Screen To Stage. What is Screen To Stage? Well, an area that I haven't focused on much outside of music is Disney's stage productions. Most of them are adaptions of their movies. Now we are not here to determine, which is better but rather just to look at the play and see what stayed the same and what...

So a while ago I went though each of the Harry Potter movies. To say I am a fan might be a bit of an understatement. So it didn’t take long for a little thing called A Very Potter Musical to come to my attention. This introduced me to the amazingness that is StarKid. StarKid is a group of friends who decided one day they where going to make musicals. So write musicals they did! And today I’m going to look at my three favorites.
The first is the one that I just ...

Hello and welcome to the beginning of a special 2 Pt. Music Fridays event where I will take a look at the music of one my all time favorite Disney soundtracks. Note, I will not look at all the music as that would just be too much. Rather just some of the first stuff and end on two very personal songs to me. On The Record. On ...

So news has leaked on Disney is currently working on a musical adaption of the '03 remake of Freaky Friday. While I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, this just seems to be odd to me but then again they're adapting Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland to the stage (Bleh!) and the Steve Martin, Father of The Bride.

I've talked about this in the past, I'm a lover of the theater. Heck, I even did a Music Fridays dedicated to this subject and I usually trust Disney's decisions when they decide to adapt one of their films to stage because most of the time, I can see them working. However, looking up what three of the upcoming projects from Walt Disney Theatrical include Aladd...
