"Well damn. This beats an apartment any day." Skeet plopped her backpack against Charlie's, which leaned against the couch, as she looked around the wide one story house.
The house had this light tan paint surrounding it. As soon as she stepped in she could see the living room and television to the left, and the small kitchen and dining table to the right. Down the hall were four rooms, but the best part for Skeet, was the backyard.
She looked at the awe i...

After the men settled the fight, Solomon and the group had to fix up the two damaged apartments, especially with Reggie's help, since he was the strongest of the three.
Despite him being a bit of a distraction for the humans, Reggie had done what he was told. He didn't particularly like his golem side to take orders, but a golem is a slave to the spoken order. The drunks just stood there (along with the stoned ones) in confusion, while they watched the golem casually fix th...

Friends. People who notice you and want to make a deeper acquaintance with you. Not to just stop in the hallway to say, "Hey". Not the occasional, "I know that guy" jester. The people you can hang around full time. They're the people you can trust. The people who you can rely on; they make you laugh, give you advice... And just... Be there.
Sam stared at the afternoon looking sky. He didn't really know what else to talk about. For a few moments, excluding the directions he ...

This night was very brisk, what with the speed the trio was going as they traveled from rooftop to rooftop... Swung from street light to lamp post... From wire to clothes line. They were lucky that their steps were so light when dashing across rooftops; not a single resident was disturbed throughout the night...
Solomon, LeRoy, and Reggie had jumped throughout every building of the small town in Scottsdale. It was an excellent way to stretch out the muscles, especiall...

For some, the first day is always the best; it was a time for change, for growth, for new love. New friends were made, new classes to hate, new teachers to torture. It was a regular start for the most confident individuals. As there was confidence to be had, there was also insecurities... Everyone's experienced it, lived it, or grown out of it. Either way, it hurts any single person in every which way or form...
Swarms of geeks, jocks, nerds, cheerleaders, and every teenag...

The night was as black as the asphalt on the surprisingly busy streets; not a single star was out in the sky, unless people mistook occasional helicopter headlights for stars before they start moving around.
On top of one of the tallest buildings, The Amtrust Tower, Solomon was smoking a fresh cigar as he waited for his crew. As he waited patiently, he decided to sit on the edge of the building to watch the late walkers roam the streets. He sighed at the people below him; t...

Solomon drove out of Charlie's high school parking lot and headed down the street for work. As he drove through the streets, turning down his radio, his joyful demeanor started to fade the closer he drove down the street. The old brute took a heavy sigh.
"The boy... Is he okay at school? I wonder if he made it in time..."
Solomon drove down the clear road without speaking a word. He gave off a blank stare. It seemed that he was looking down at the end of ...

The very next day, the pimple-faced Charlie rose from his bed, yawning from lack of sleep. He appeared to have grey rings under his eyes that were caked with eye buggers. The teens body was so sore from tossing and turning. Charlie got up from bed; his body feeling sore, as it rocked to and fro. The tired teen tried to walk, but unfortunately he couldn't keep his balance, which caused him to topple over his drawings.
Getting his aching body up from the painful land, Charlie ...

Charlie walked for about half an hour, feeling scared and ready to throw up. To add on to his uncomfortable state, there wasn't a soul in sight; not even a sign or sound of cars present. All the street lights were on, but it didn't help how alone the boy felt.
When Charli...

As Solomon and Charlie continued to avoid conversation on the road, they got lost in their own little thoughts. Solomon thought of his job as he played more Steely Dan while Charlie thought about how many drawings of new mythological creatures h...

Charlie Swan was a young, country boy from Texas who moved to Arizona with his uncle Solomon for his family “business”. His Uncle Solomon was an odd man who kept a small job for years to come by working as a cook in “the family restaurant”. He was a hard worker and a fighter.
Charlie, on the other hand was always an anti-social teenage boy who was fascinated by all sorts of monsters from the Greek mythology to American urban legend...

Charlie stood stiff in his hideaway, coming to grips with what he had done. The way Bella ran out on him, made Charlie regret his actions. He sat himself down in his old chair and put his hand against his head in frustration. He began to smoke a cigarette to calm down; he shouldn’t have told her that monsters existed.
Charlie takes the cigarette out of his mouth and looks at an old portrait of his friends. He saw himself, Billy, Sarah, and his ex wife in a normal loo...

For her whole life, even as a little girl, Bella always thought that there were no such things as monsters. Her mom proved it to her and always went out of her way to keep Charlie from telling her stories about werewolves and vampires.
Renee would never dream of Bella having fascinations about creatures. When Renee and Charlie split, that’s all Renee wanted to do. For a while, Bella knew her mother was pushing these thoughts onto her. Though, as she grew up thinking f...

Bella closed her blood shot eyes at the sad sight, only to open them again and find herself in the darkness. She couldn’t really tell where she was. Everything was practically shrouded in darkness. To make things worse, when Bella walked, it was really hard to move. It felt like thick muddy waters, as she struggled to walk towards a very small light.
She kept on walking and walking, her strength increasing as she moved to the light. She kept walking until she was able ...

At the Swan residence, Willie was snoring up a storm on the couch. The couch was a lot more comfortable now that Charlie took out some springs and replaced it with more cotton. Willie was dead tired and the little man didn’t notice a thing when he went to sleep.
Charlie was a light sleeper. Even in his deepest states of dreams or nightmares, he would manage to hear everything around him. He was trained by his uncle and on one of his paranoid episodes, it would be very...
