Okay people, here we go...
300 Member Special!
It's that time, we gotta start getting this lined up. Who wants in?
Right now all I can tell you about the project here in public is that the idea was Kyle's, the editing will once again be done by Timdiana, and I'll be supervising the project. So, all of you who want in p...

Inspired by Derek Alexander (Happy Video Game Nerd) and James Bevan (Manic Expression)
Welcome to Patricia's Jewels, a video game series where I cover my favorite games. Whether it's triple "A", indie hits, cult classics, and underrated, obscure games that I feel deserve more recognition. Hopefully, my review will let you check out the game for yourself. Today's game we're going to cover is an underrated cinematic platformer back in 1997. Back in 1994, a new indie vid...

So, I made a video regarding my absence/hiatus back in January:

Well, I'm here to say that things on my end are improvi...

Hey Everybody!
DIsney-mania is about to launch and we want you to be a part of it! Essentially we're going to be reviewing in a short video/audio review, EVERY DISNEY ANIMATED MOVIE. Again, EVERY ONE! It's a big task and we don't feel like doing it alone. So I'm going to post a very long list of films and a small set of rules to be part of it. We would love to have as many different opinions as possi...

Hello there, ME. It's been a while
I suppose the first thing I owe everyone here is an explanation, like the blog title says.
Well, suffice it to say I have been RIDICULOUSLY busy helping my elderly neighbor make it to her doctor's appointments and obtaining the medicine and pills she is prescribed. It's at least two days a week where I'm completely occupado making sure she has everything she needs. Usually more.
The other thing is my couns...

You probably notice I haven't been as active as I usually am in the past weeks. And I have a very good reason for that:
Besides the obvious school work, as James said in the February update, I'm working on the script for the Manic Expression 2 year anniversary movie, and the first draft is almost complete! Once that's finished, I'll be able to write more blogs, (in addition to modifying the script after seeing the main cast's responses to the first draft)
B...

Greetings Manic Fans. Les here with a few hours before my flight to talk about something important. I want to talk about who really made our website great and what the admin here really does.
While it would be easy to say a three or four specific members keep the site running smoothly and on schedule, or that without a specific member lighting fires under the other three or four to see that they stay on task or it would all collapse, it simply wouldn't be true(an...

I'm going to make this brief. In the beginning, this was going to be a long, drawn-out shpeal with swooping prose and unnecessary chatter. Though there's nothing wrong with that, it feels inappropriate somehow.
Therefore, I will say my peace and be done with it.
Today, Wednesday, January 9th, is James Daniel Walsh's birthday. For those of you that don't know, James is the author of the Manic Expression anthology, the founder of this site, the scri...

Attention Expressionists! As no doubt as you are aware, the polls for the Something Cinematic 2012 Year End Review are now open. There are 12 categories to the review and now you can vote on which nominee you think qualifies in the respected spot. These polls will only be active for a week, so if you are planning on voting, you best do so now.
Once the week pasts, the year in review will follow as you will not only get the results from the polls, but hear from a round table...

Just a few quick things.
For starters, someone pointed out to me that the blog post I made might have given folks here the wrong idea. I have no intention of leaving Manic Expression. While I may not contribute to the site in the same capacity, or as often, my announcement wasn't meant to be taken as 'goodbye forever'.
Mind you, when I posted said blog, I was far from the best of spirits, so it might have carried a vein of fatalism. For that, I apologize. &...

Greetings and salutations.
There is no easy way for me to say this, so I won't bother trying to honey-coat it.
As of this moment, there will be no Looking Back in Annoyance, Midnight Wank Theater, Storyteller, or Retrospective videos of any kind from That Long-Haired Creepy Guy.
I'm sorry to deliver such sad news to anyone who cares, especially after Les's heart-warming Great Blogger's Tribute and R8inator's plans for giving me a spot on the ME home page. This...

I just had a surreal moment, and felt the need to post a quick blog about it.
Fair warning. This may stir up a bit of controversy.
To clarify something, I'd begun posting my reviews on TGWTG's blog section a while back. Though I'd declared myself done with the site way back in April because of small drama with my forum account getting mysteriously nuked, it seemed stupid not to take advantage of a place to scrape a few extra views out of. I don't go there f...

Okay, I’m ready to start casting for my next Podcast Play. Want to get a jump on this because, unlike the one I did for our first production, this one will be on a much bigger scale with more parts. I’ve decided to adapt the first story you can find in Manic Expression: A Collection.

For those who don’t...

This past week has marked the 2 year blogging anniversary of my pal Mark, aka Big Black Hat Man, who has done a stupendous job educating and informing us all about the western genre with his series Support Your Classic Westerns and Western Thoughts. Regretfully, I wasn't able to mark the occasion with a tribute blog last year, mainly because I'm not a big fan of westerns (or at least traditional westerns). I thought about doing a review of Blazing Saddles, but another per...
