You will believe they spent hundreds of millions of dollars to make this movie
Have you ever utterly loved and completely been frustrated by a film? That is my reaction to Man of Steel. Magnificent in some respects and headache-ind...

CHAPTER ELEVEN:
MENACE
It must have been November because the wind had a near winter bite and the leaves lay dead in carpets on the hardening ground. I sat uncomfortable on watch in the bird's nest thirty feet from the earth. In the short time they had together, Bambi and our grandfather had built a small wooden platform on top of the highest tree at the edge of the farm. It must have been hard work but it was worth it.
I could see nearly six hundre...

Hello & Welcome back to Trotting Through Life. Something I haven't touched upon yet in this series is the IDW comic book series but as soon I saw the last page of Issue # 6, I knew that I had to talk about it. Currently, the comic is in it's second arc and the comic introduced a new villain. Nightmare Rarity. My reaction to Nightmare Rari...

I do not think this needs any lengthy introduction. The Spider-man movies, I'm sure some 90% of us here have seen them (both the Sam Rami ones & the reboot) or at least one of them. The one that is being discussed - Spider-man 3 - was seen as a disappointment; and I cannot see many of the complaints personally. I thought it was quite enjoyable.
When making ...

Lightning Can Strike Twice
I'm going to come right our and admit that I really didn't give Barry Allen's return as the Flash a chance when it first happened back in 2009. I never really cared about Barry Allen outside of his death in Crisis on Infinite...

The Jaks Five Reasons the Jonah Hex Movie Sucks
As you know, I am fan of comic books. And while there are many great films based on them, we are here today to talk about one of the shittier ones. That’s right; it’s Jonah Hex, one of the more underrated characters from DC. This movie had a ton of potential and they fucked it up. So let’s begin.
5. Shitty action scenes

I'm going into this with a caveat: I'm an X-Men fanboy, and a fan of Marvel in general over DC. So before this 1999 trade, I'd never picked up a single Teen Titans book in my life.
I HAVE caught just about every episode of the DCAU in existence, from the ground-breaking Batman and Superman animated series all the way up through Justice League Unlimited, through either rerun or DVD purchase. And I massively enjoyed Glen Murakami's "Teen Titans" and Greg Weisman's "Young Just...

Folks, once again my birthday is upon us and last year, I dedicated an entire week to my favorite film, Dumbo. This year however, I've decided to turn my attention to how a certain aspect of something I'm familiar with has been portrayed by Disney. That is Scouting. As you see for the longest time of my life, I was a Boy Scout and I am the only person in my famil...
