Bildungsroman - n. A novel concerned with a person's formative years and development. [literally: education novel] -- Collins English Dictionary
There are a lot of firsts here in The Kings of Summer. Okay, I was going to upload this article in its entirety to this site, but I had trouble getting some of the images to transfer. So instead, I'll link you to the Reviewers Unknown post, so you too can enjoy my text review of the incredibly disappointing Paper Mario: Sticker Star!

Whenever there is a dangerous mission to be accomplished, there is only one agent that will take them all no matter what the cost is and that’s Agent Dandy. If you’re a criminal that has a target on your head, you better run when the dandies fall because it will be the last thing you see before you take a bullet to the back. Now at the darkest time in Manic history...

Hey, do you like kids? Well, too late, because this is a movie about a kid. Okay, it is about the life of kid in a family trying to get by in a town in the Philippines. His name is the same as the title of the movie: Magifico. Somehow, I was under the impression that Filipinos had trouble pronouncing the letter “F”, but I guess that if that was no impediment to them keeping the name of their country the same, then it could not stop them from enjoying this movie.

I still can’t make 5 miles in an hour...and I’m wondering if I didn’t set the bar too high on that one, but I’ll give it another couple of weeks of attempts before I admit I can’t re...

Fusinator was working on the device the Duke of Owls had ordered him to make. He was looking at a guide book for instructions.
“Let’s see….this goes here, turn this 180 degrees….” He said to himself.
A few feet behind Fusionator, the Duke was pacing back and forth, proclaiming his greatness.
“The Duke’s master plan is about to come to ...

This is a sad topic but one worth addressing. We don't usually associate memorable character deaths with comedy shows. Sitcoms are supposed to be, well, funny! But very often a sitcom will kill off a character unexpectedly, and that will stay with us more powerfully than any funny moment from the show. I want to talk about some examples today, and there is one important thing that all of these examples have in common but I will save that discussion for the end.

Happy Father's Day, everyone! While your dad is off relaxing and you just finished making him a nice home cooked meal along with your gifts, it's time to look back on Nickelodeon dads. Unlike my top 10 Nickelodeon mothers list, competent fathers are hard to come by in Nickelodeon. For every good dad, there's either a non existing one or they're complete morons. So this list is going to compile on my favorite dads from Nickelodeon. Here we go with my top 5 best.

Last December, we took the flimsiest possible excuse to think that the world was ending. Somehow, people were genuinely convinced (or perhaps simply hopeful) that the Mayans had correctly predicted the date of the apocalypse.
Shortly before that, Occupy Wall Street happened. The lower and middle classes had come to feel disenfranchised and took to the streets in protest of the bourgeoisie.
Do you see the connection? I think I do. Bear with me on this.
A while back, I read
